COVID CHILD CARE

Child care is CCC's original mission and largest service. We offer free in-person child care in seven locations.

1. RECRUITMENT

We have a network of over 600 volunteers spanning 7 branches.

Our volunteers are helpful people in your area who want to give back to the community.

2. PAIRING

We pair each medical worker with a volunteer who match their needs.

Our team members take a personal stake in each pair that they connect.

3. SERVICE

Once medical workers are paired, the volunteers are able to fulfill the needs of the medical workers and their families.

From child care to grocery shopping, volunteers in your area are here to help!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What differentiates CCC from other child care resources?

CCC is completely free, no matter what, and with no questions asked. In many cases, state funding for child care centers is provided to parents as a reimbursement after they've paid for child care. This system is often slow and costs parents money upfront.

In-home child care is the most socially distant option since children come into contact with one volunteer rather than many other children and workers at child care facilities.

How can you ensure that volunteers are not spreading COVID-19?

We require that all volunteers and medical families have not had any unprotected exposure to the virus or symptoms related to it. These requirements are stipulated in legally binding agreements that both volunteers and medical workers sign.

We hold the safety of our volunteers and the medical worker families they serve at the utmost importance.

Where do you see this initiative going in the future?

Affordable child care is not a problem that is specific to the ongoing pandemic.

As long as the pandemic exacerbates child care inaccessibility, we're committed continuing our work.

The landscape is always changing. Our organizers are adaptable and our volunteers are ready to serve.
